Midwinter Break follows Gerry (Ciaran Hinds) and Stella ( Lesley Manville), a retired couple married for decades, as they travel from Scotland to Amsterdam for an impromptu holiday. Minor travel irritations give way to deep emotional reckonings, forcing them to confront old wounds.
